Cousin Crash

I grew up in that kind of family that when Mom and Dad said we were going on a family vacation it meant that all my Siblings, Parents, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and sometimes the family pet would be packing up to go spend time together. It just wasn't a vacation without them. My mom always called these memorable activities a "Cousin Crash" I am still close to all my cousins and many of us have children of the same ages. (4 girls and 18 boys)

So last weekend we had a good old fashion "Cousin Crash" one generation removed. The kids played the day away with water games, food, and fun while the mommies tried to keep the littlest ones from drowning themselves. We laughed, ate and once or twice checked on the group of wild children running around Grandmas yard.

We then ended the night with smores, gummy worms, the yummiest popcorn I have ever had (thanks Kristin) and our own outdoor cineplex (thanks Beau).

In the morning we ate breakfast together and then said goodbye, but thats just short for see you at the next cousin crash.

Thanks, Nicki for planning such a great party. I am so glad that our kids love getting together as much as we do. It is fun to see the pictures you took, I especially like the one of Dillon and Camden.
